About our RP
Speech, Language and Communication Needs Resourced Provision (SLCN RP)
Our SLCN Resourced Provision supports children with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) where communication and interaction are identified as the primary areas of need. From September 2026, the provision will offer eight places.
We provide a high level of support, with a 1:3 adult to child ratio, and all staff are fully trained to deliver specialist programmes and adapt tasks to meet individual learning needs.
Children in the SLCN RP integrate into their mainstream class every afternoon, with some also joining for English and Maths sessions. They are very much part of our whole school community, eating lunch in the hall and playing on the playground with their peers at break and lunchtimes.
This provision supports children across the full primary age range. Places are allocated by Hampshire County Council, and while the school is consulted on whether we can meet a child’s needs within the SLCN RP, the final decision rests with the Local Authority.
Autism Spectrum Resourced Provision (AS RP)
Our Autism Spectrum Resourced Provision opened in September 2023 and will offer 16 places from September 2026. To be considered for a place, a child must have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and a diagnosis of Autism.
The provision offers a high level of adult support and delivers a sensory based curriculum alongside personalised programmes such as Intensive Interaction, Curiosity Containers, and Attention Autism. Where appropriate, children are supported to integrate into mainstream classes.
We also have a dedicated sensory room and soft-play room to help children regulate their emotions and support their engagement and learning.
This provision covers the full primary age range. As with the SLCN RP, all places are allocated by Hampshire County Council, who make the final decision on placement following consultation with the school.
