Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND)
Welcome to our unique school with more than 300 pupils in the mainstream part of the school and not just one but two resourced provisions of 24 pupils. We have a much larger than average number of children who receive additional support for special educational needs.
To ensure all children receive their entitlements we have a team of talented, skilled and dedicated adults: Mrs Harvey, who is our Mainstream Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator and Mrs Chapman, who is the Teacher in Charge of Resourced Provisions.
There are three other teachers who work within the resourced provisions who are highly skilled in ensuring provision for children with Speech, Language and Communication needs. Admissions for these provisions is through the county special educational needs process.
We have a fantastic team of learning support assistants who work with children in need of additional support under the guidance of the class teachers, Teacher in Charge, and SENCO.
The world of special educational needs can be very confusing. The staff at Morelands are pleased to be able to help. Please do contact us if you need to.
For children living more than 3 miles away, you may be entitled to transport. To apply please see; http://www3.hants.gov.uk/traveltoschool/sch-transport/stforms.htm
