Join Our SPA – Staff and Parent Association

Our SPA (Staff and Parent Association) plays a vital role in bringing our school community together and raising funds that directly benefit every child at Morelands. The SPA is run by a dedicated committee of volunteer staff and parents, who also act as trustees of the Morelands Children’s Charity. The committee meets once a term and puts in many hours of planning and organisation to make each event a success.

The committee includes:

Treasurer
Secretary

New members are always welcome, and we would love to have you on board.

Your Help Makes All the Difference

While the SPA has a committed committee, our fundraising events simply wouldn’t be possible without the support of our wider parent community. Whether you can bake cakes, help run the kitchen or bar, set up before an event, or stay behind to help clear away, every contribution counts.

Even a small amount of your time makes a huge difference. So next time you see someone heading your way with a clipboard… please do say yes!

Above all, we want our events to be fun. They are a fantastic way to meet other families, get involved in school life, and raise valuable funds—all at the same time.

What Your Support Helps Us Achieve

Thanks to generous support from parents, staff and friends of the school, the SPA has been able to fund and contribute to a wide range of resources and experiences for our children, including:

Pantomime subsidies
Medals for Sports Days
Reading, speaking and listening prizes
The annual Year 6 leavers’ party
Disco music and equipment
Gazebos, sports bottles and team kits
Backdrops for productions
PA system upgrades
Refurbishment of the children’s kitchen
Outdoor canopies
Playground and outdoor learning equipment
Library development
Outside classroom and allotment areas
…and much more!

The SPA also coordinates our school uniform sales, helping to keep costs as low as possible for families.
